Jackson Prescott has been writing music since childhood, but began producing and releasing his independent work from a home studio just outside Dallas, Texas during the 2020 lockdown.
The songs are largely written, performed, mixed, and produced by Jackson—an intentionally personal catalog spanning traditional country, modern country, acoustic storytelling, and the occasional road less traveled.
With no advertising blitz or manufactured persona, the music has grown through playlists, radio, word of mouth, and listeners who found a line that felt like their own.

Great to see you here!
I’m not sure how you found this site, but glad to see you stopped by! Although I’ve been writing and making music since I could reach the keys of my grandmother’s old upright piano, I’ve only recently started releasing music through streaming services and internet radio.
As a result of the Covid lockdown, I found myself unable to travel and with a bit more time on my hands. With the exception of only a small handful of covers, these songs are all written, performed, mixed, and produced by me in a home studio just outside Dallas, Texas.
So, where’s the tik-toks, snapchats, instagram blasts? I write for the love of music and to date there has been no advertising, no social media blitz, no friends and family network spreading the word about these songs. As an experiment in organic growth, these albums and songs are independently released and will only be discovered by random playlist adds, AI-based radio rotation, or word of mouth/chat/snap from complete strangers.
